Al Hays has been assisting with a summer literacy program for disadvantaged youth.   It utilizes hip hop poetry and music to reach out to kids who are often less engaged in school.   Dr. Shuaib Meacham, of UNI’s College of Education, designed the program. This is guaranteed to be a rewarding cross-cultural experience!
